Man City player ratings vs Aston Villa with six 4/10s and one 7/10 in limp defeat

Manchester City were beaten again as Aston Villa made it nine losses in the last 12 games for the Premier League champions.

Pep Guardiola saw the Blues nearly concede in the first minute and a 1-0 deficit at half-time was made worse by John Stones being taken off. Gundogan: Another non-event of a game. His biggest contributions were winning free-kicks that led to nothing. 4

Foden: Had a few shots at Martinez that were never in any danger of going in, but struggled to link with teammates. Consolation goal. 5

Silva: Outsmarted and outfought by Villa players with no impact on the right side to cause any problems. 4

Grealish: Booed from
