Man City player ratings for season with two standouts ahead of Premier League finale

Manchester City are 45 games into the 2023/24 season.

Pep Guardiola's side have worked their way into a position where, with two months of the season remaining, they still have a chance of winning the Treble. They have at least 13 games left in all competitions and if all goes as they hope it well that will creep up to 17 ending with consecutive Wembley finals for the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Injuries to key players and variations in form have meant that Guardiola has called on some different players to the ones he most relied upon last season. As City prepare for a big finish, here is a look at how the players have fared so far.

Ederson: City's star in the Champions League knock-outs last season but has struggled to maintain those levels as City have shipped too many goals. Real competition from Ortega. 6

Ortega: Has done all that he can to push Ederson despite City's early exit from the Carabao Cup. Impressed against Newcastle and could be given the gloves against Arsenal. 7

Lewis: Stood out in the Champions League group stages and trusted at the Emirates in Rodri's absence, although he has barely had a kick in the second half of the season. 6

Walker: A strong comeback this year from the captain. His form has been up and down but his positioning has allowed City to be flexible after losing Mahrez and Palmer. 7

Dias: Hasn't really managed to recapture the form that saw him make all the World XIs and there has been some public criticism from Guardiola. Still imperious at his best though. 7
