Man City pipped to Premier League title by unlikely rivals in supercomputer prediction

Supercomputer data predicts that Manchester City will miss out on the Premier League title to Arsenal, despite being tipped to win all of their home matches.

Pep Guardiola's side currently sit second in the Premier League table - behind Mikel Arteta's Gunners side. City have won five of their opening seven top-flight matches and are currently unbeaten.

Erling Haaland, who arrived at the Etihad from German side Borussia Dortmund in the summer, has already scored 14 goals and registered one assist so far this campaign - including three strikes in two Champions League matches.

City have also won their opening two matches in Europe's elite competition, securing victories over Sevilla and Dortmund.

However, despite winning the English crown four times in the last five seasons, Guardiola's men have been tipped to come second in the Premier League this term, with Arsenal predicted to win the title.

According to Football Web Pages' supercomputer, the Gunners will win the league by three points, despite City being backed to win all 19 of their home games.

While City losing out on the title would shock the majority of supporters, the fans would be more surprised if Brighton finished level on points with Guardiola's side - which they are tipped to do.

The reigning Premier League champions are expected to finish with a plus 80 goal difference and are backed to score 104 goals. This would not be surprising, especially given the lightning start Haaland has made to life in England.

City are tipped to win 25 of their 38 Premier League matches, losing just fives times. Tottenham
