Man City must find a different answer to dangerous Arsenal problem

Bukayo Saka has had a terrific season for Arsenal, spearheading their charge to the top of the Premier League and putting himself in contention to be named Player of the Year. If the Gunners have to work out how to stop Erling Haaland - another favourite for the individual prizes as he aims to set more Premier League records - for City it will be Saka who occupies plenty of their thoughts.

Nathan Ake did a superb job of shackling the England international in the FA Cup game (and even popped up at the other end to score the winner) but did his hamstring chasing after Kingsley Coman in Munich and City will not want to ease him back in by making him go up against the speedy Saka. Bernardo Silva was used there in the league game but understandably struggled.

Aymeric Laporte looks the obvious replacement, although Pep Guardiola will want plenty of cover from Jack Grealish, regardless of who plays there, to keep one of Arsenal's most dangerous players quiet.

Point will do

The reality of the title race means that Arsenal need to win this game more than City do. Three points for the home team would put Guardiola's side firmly in the driving seat, two points off top with two games in hand.

However, even if they were to draw they would still win the title if they were to win all of their remaining games - whereas Arsenal could not say the same. City will want to win to give them some margin for error in their pursuit of a Treble, but Arsenal need the win more.
