Man City join Manchester United in 'race' for Jude Bellingham and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have reportedly joined Manchester United in the 'race' to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham is one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world right now, as a host of clubs circle the 19-year-old in an effort to tempt him away from his Bundesliga side. Pep Guardiola witnessed first hand just how good the young midfielder can be during City's 2-1 win over Dortmund at the Etihad Stadium last month.

Bellingham got on the scoresheet that evening, and now it is being reported by German outlet Sport1 (via Goal) that City have joined the growing list of clubs interested in signing the teenager. Guardiola's side will have to fend off competition from an array of European clubs, as well as Premier League rivals in the form of Liverpool and Manchester United.

City fans will be hoping that former club teammate Erling Haaland can convince Bellingham to make the move to the blue half of Manchester. After seeing how well the Norwegian has done under Guardiola, the Dortmund midfielder may well be tempted to follow in Haaland's steps.

Elsewhere, Spanish outlet AS (via Sport Witness) report that City are interested in making a move for 17-year-old midfielder Dani Perez.

The Real Betis youngster plays as an attacking midfielder and has reportedly attracted the attention of both Real Madrid and City due to his recent impressive performances for the Spanish club's reserve team, Betis Deportivo. The La Liga side recently extended Perez's contract until 2025 in a bid to ward off any potential suitors.
