Man City guaranteed to be without four players vs Wolves as Nathan Ake and Kevin De Bruyne calls made

Manchester City will not risk Nathan Ake or Kevin De Bruyne in the weekend Premier League clash at Wolves.

Both have been sidelined for a number of weeks with hamstring and thigh issues respectively and although the pair are now able to train, Pep Guardiola has ruled out the duo featuring at Molineux on Sunday. The pair could travel as part of the squad and both are closing in on a return.

Ake and De Bruyne join long-term absentees Rodri and Oscar Bobb as players who won't feature against Wolves while City will make a decision on Ederson and Savinho after the pair's exertions on international duty for Brazil but both will travel and will likely be available. What we know: Ake came off with a hamstring injury during the last international break. He didn't link up with the Netherlands this month but is back in training with City. But Guardiola does not expect him to feature this weekend.

What we know: De Bruyne was absent from the open training on Thursday won't feature against Wolves. Considering his recent injury record, the Blues are likely to exercise caution.
