Man City fans give verdict on best and worst English stadiums with Old Trafford slammed

Manchester City supporters have had their say on the best and worst stadiums in English football.

Fans were asked to pick which grounds they liked and disliked the most, aside from their own. The homes of all 92 Football League clubs were included, as well as Wembley Stadium.

The Etihad does not feature in the top three of either of the overall lists after 7,500 votes, which were cast by supporters from all across England. But City supporters have made it clear which ground is their favourite and which is their most disliked. Here are the results of the City supporters' poll.

1 - Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (36.5%)

Opened in April 2019, the ground has been hailed for its modern approach to the fan-centred experience. The stadium isn't the largest in the land at just over 60,000, but it has been deemed as the best by City fans despite their opening-day loss there in August.

2 - Wembley Stadium (14.9%)

City fans will still have a sour taste in their mouths from their 3-2 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Liverpool at Wembley last month. But they have enjoyed FA Cup and League Cup successes there over the years, making it a popular pick.

3 - Emirates Stadium (10.2%)

Arsenal were deemed to be the first club to venture out into the ‘modern mega stadium’ shift. Tottenham’s capacity just edges Arsenal's now but it is still a fine ground.

1 - Old Trafford (35%)

Unsurprisingly, Old Trafford received the lion’s share of the votes when it came to picking the worst ground in England. Old Trafford is set for upgrades but City fans are seemingly less than impressed with its current state.

2 - Anfield (19.8%)
