Man City could reveal team news vs Peterborough in FA Cup 24 hours early

An FA Cup tie against a side struggling at the bottom of the Championship would normally represent a chance for some Manchester City youngsters to be involved.

Against Swindon and Fulham in previous rounds, City have given minutes to Cole Palmer, James McAtee, Kayky, Liam Delap and Romeo Lavia among others.

Other occasions have seen EDS starts for players just one day after they were in the senior matchday squad.

However, City may have to decide which players from the academy they intend to use at Peterborough on Tuesday as the under-23s have an important fixture of their own on Monday night.

McAtee would fancy his chances of a first-team call-up after recently signing a new contract and adding to his senior appearances, while Liam Delap has been used in a number of games in the cup, Premier League and Champions League.

Guardiola will give an update on his plans on Monday afternoon when he faces the media, but the teamsheet against Leicester in the Premier League
