Man City 2-3 Tottenham: Fans think Craig Pawson looked 'gutted' after Harry Kane's winner

Harry Kane sparked emotional scenes at each end of the spectrum at the Etihad Stadium when he scored Tottenham Hotspur’s dramatic winner on Saturday night.

Spurs looked to have been dead and buried when City pulled the game back to 2-2 with a stoppage-time penalty from Riyad Mahrez, but the Premier League drama wasn’t finished there.

That’s because Kane sparked scenes of pure delirium in the away end and left City fans with their heads in their hands when he converted Dejan Kulusevski’s cross to secure the unlikeliest of 3-2 victories.

It truly is one of the most dramatic Premier League games we’ve seen all season with even the most optimistic of fans surely thinking that the drama was over when Mahrez rattled home his spot-kick.

As such, the sheer shock of Kane ripping up the script in the dying seconds of the game could be seen in brilliant footage of Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte in their technical areas at the time.

It’s no secret that Conte is one of the most animated managers in the business and any coach would have been gutted to concede such a crazy goal, so it’s no surprise that the video was popcorn-worthy.

Slow-motion footage shows the pure drama of the moment as Guardiola slumps towards the turf as though he’s had his heart torn out and Conte embarks on an adrenaline-fuelled sprint towards his bench.

However, despite all the brilliance of the two managers’ reactions, many football fans were also quick to pick up on the response of Craig Pawson, who was on fourth official duties between the coaches.

In fact, supporters didn’t just notice Pawson’s immediate reaction to Kane’s goal, but they tweeted about it in their droves with hundreds and thousands sharing the clip in the belief that he looked ‘gutted’.
