Man City 2-0 Dortmund: Pep Guardiola's hilarious full-time antics

The Manchester City train of momentum continued forward on Wednesday evening as the Citizens overcame Borussia Dortmund.

The 2-1 victory means the club have taken six points from their opening two group matches and look set to cruise through to the competition’s knock-out phase.

The win wasn’t as straight forward as their 4-0 thumping of Sevilla, though, with the Citizens needing to come from behind to triumph.

Jude Bellingham opened the scoring for the German side in the 56th minute and they actually looked good value to at least go on to get something from the game.

However, a John Stones rocket with 10 minutes to go gave the home side an added edge.

Before the typically lethal Erling Haaland scored one of the most acrobatic goals you’re ever likely to see, proving once again, that he’s just a different breed.

It was a big win for City on the night, but Pep Guardiola wasn’t satisfied after the final whistle and decided to give the referee a piece of his mind.

Presumably, Guardiola wasn’t happy with some aspect of the game and needed to vent his anger to the official, which, as you well know, isn’t unusual for top managers hell-bent on winning.

Yet this time, the Spaniards antics backfired, and he ended up swiftly running to the referee to hug him and apologise for his actions after getting booked for his behaviour.

It’s a classic Pep moment, that’s for sure.
