Man charged with murder of 42-year-old in Fallowfield

A 22-year-old man is set to appear in court charged with the murder of a 42-year-old man in Fallowfield. Stephen Owusu, of Beverly Road, Fallowfield, has today (September 26) been charged with murder.

Greater Manchester Police says he is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today. It follows the death of a 42-year-old man at a property on Beverly Road, in Fallowfield, on Saturday (September 24).

Police were called out to the scene at around 6.40pm on Saturday. GMP says the man's family have been informed about his death and are being supported by specialist officers.

Police confirmed the arrest of a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder yesterday. Confirming the charge of Mr Owusu today, a spokesperson for GMP said: "Stephen Owusu, 22 years, of Beverly Road, Fallowfield, Manchester has been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on September 26 2022.

"The charge relates to the death of a 42-year-old man at a property on Beverly Road on Saturday (24 September 2022)." The identity of the 42-year-old man has not yet been confirmed.
