Man appears in court accused of harassing woman

A man from has appeared in court accused harassing a woman. Raja Miah, 48, appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court this morning.

Mr Miah, of Stamford Road, Mossley, Tameside is charged with an offence of harassment without violence, relating to a series of social media posts alleged to have been aimed at aa woman between October 2020 and November 2021.

He has previously entered a not guilty plea to the offence.

The case was adjourned for a case management hearing on September 15.

Mr Miah was bailed with conditions not to contact the woman directly or indirectly, and not to mention or make reference to the woman on any form of social media.

A trial date will be set at the next hearing.
