Man, 43, arrested after HUGE cannabis farm found inside terrace house

A huge cannabis farm inside a terrace house has been seized by police.

Officers in Oldham said the grow spanned across four separate rooms and a man was arrested after the raid.

Police chiefs in the Hollinwood area of Oldham hailed a 'great result' as photographs showing the sophisticated set-up were revealed on social media.

The man, who is aged 43, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis.. He remained in custody for questioning on Wednesday evening, GMP said.

Officers swooped on the property on Carnarvon Street, Oldham, early on Wednesday morning.

GMP said in a statement: "Officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Oldham Division executed a warrant at a property on Carnarvon Street in Oldham this morning.

"Inside officers discovered a suspected cannabis farm with 88 plants spanning across four rooms of the property. A 43-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the production of cannabis and was taken into custody for questioning."

Sergeant Robert Coggin, of GMP Oldham, said: "This is a great result for our officers who are working hard to crackdown on drug related crime and make out communities safer.

"To keep disrupting this type of crime, we need the public to report any information they might have. I would urge anyone who has information about this cannabis farm, or anyone connected to it, to please contact us so we can bring these people to justice."
