Man, 40, found dead in village after 'falling from a wooded area'
A 40-year-old man was found dead in a small village in Oldham.
Police were called to reports of a man who had fallen from a wooded area behind homes on Sugar Lane in Dobcross. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers were called the scene just after 2:45pm yesterday (March 22). They say they are not treating his death as suspicious.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Officers were called to a report of a man believed to have fallen from a wooded area behind residential properties in Dobcross just after 2.45pm yesterday (22 March 2022).
"Emergency services attended and sadly, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
"There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for HM Coroner."
