Man, 20, charged with murder of Salah Eldin Adam in Old Trafford

A man has been charged with the murder of Salah Eldin Adam in Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old was fatally stabbed on Kings Road on Wednesday, May 31. Xaviour Wynter, of no fixed abode, has now been charged with his murder, police confirmed this morning.

He has also been charged with possession of a bladed article. Wynter has been remanded into custody.

He will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today (June 22). Demari Adrian Raymond Rose, 19, of no fixed abode, has also charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.

Two males who were arrested on the night of the attack - a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of murder and a 16-year-old on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon - were released on bail.

Paying tribute to him following his death, Salah's family said: "Salah was the backbone of the family and carried the family through anything and everything. He was our precious, beautiful son and a true hero.

"He was a supportive brother and precious son, a most genuine and loving soul with a big heart. He always found space in his heart to forgive all.

"He was always respectful and had kind words to say for all, everyone who met him wanted to be friends with him and was respected by all people of all ages. We are immensely proud of him."
