Maidstone United top goalscorer Deon Moore leaves the Gallagher Stadium by mutual consent
Top scorer Deon Moore has left Maidstone United by mutual consent.
Moore bagged 12 goals in 41 appearances for the Stones after joining from Welling last summer.
His haul included a hat-trick against Ebbsfleet in January as Maidstone reached the Kent Senior Cup final.
Moore’s treble in the 4-0 win against Fleet saw him voted player-of-the-month.
The Guyana international got off the mark in the Stones’ 2-0 National League South win over Hampton & Richmond in August.
His final goal for the club came as a substitute in an 8-0 home win over Enfield Town at the end of February.
Moore’s departure leaves Hamzad Kargbo as the only fit senior striker at the Gallagher Stadium, with Mo Faal (knee) and Dajon Golding (ankle) out injured.
This week, Elokobi promoted under-23s striker Mark Boruk to the first-team squad, naming him on the bench for Maidstone’s 2-1 home win against Dagenham & Redbridge.
