Maidstone United sign former Norwich City, Aston Villa and West Brom youngster Ruben Shakpoke
Maidstone have announced another new arrival up front - and he’s been at some big clubs.
Striker Ruben Shakpoke came through the youth ranks at Norwich before joining Aston Villa aged 16.
He spent three years at Villa Park, followed by a move to West Midlands rivals West Brom.
Now 21, the former England under-15 youth international made a couple of appearances for Enfield in National League South this season.
Shakpoke is the second attacking arrival at Maidstone in a matter of days, having also signed Tom Leahy on loan from Millwall for the rest of the season.
Leahy made his debut as a half-time substitute as George Elokobi’s side beat Bath 3-0 on Saturday.
