Maidstone United re-sign Antony Papadopoulos on loan from Crawley and complete deals for ex-QPR man Hamzad Kargbo and former Folkestone forward Kweku Lucan
Maidstone have signed three players in one day - including the return of Antony Papadopoulos.
Midfielder Papadopoulos has rejoined on loan from League 2 Crawley until early February.
The 22-year-old was a big success at the Gallagher last season, scoring five goals in 20 games before being recalled by his parent club after United’s Boxing Day win at Tonbridge.
“Paps is no stranger to us,” Stones boss George Elokobi told the club’s media team.
“He’s part of the family here.
“He’s a fantastic young man, very honest in how he goes about his work.
“He impacted our season positively last season and this season we’ve had to respect Crawley in terms of they wanted to keep him around.
“But when the opportunity came, he’s chosen us and he’s delighted to be here as well, and that makes it a good partnership.
“He’s got goals in him, and assists, but also his all-round game in terms of work ethic is there, and he’s a team player.”
Chippenham Town lost 4-2 away at Hemel Hempstead yesterday but Hamzad Kargbo scored this absolute belter just before half-time.
Strike of his life.
