Maggie Farrelly to referee Meath-Kerry TG4 senior final
Cavan's Maggie Farrelly will take charge of this year's TG4 All-Ireland SFC final between holders Meath and Kerry at Croke Park on Sunday, 31 July.
Farrelly, from the Laragh United club in Cavan is set for her second senior decider, having refereed the 2014 final between Cork and Dublin.
She has already overseen some big games in 2022, including the Division 1 league clash between Meath and Dublin, the Ulster championship fixture between Armagh and Monaghan, and the All-Ireland round-robin fixture featuring Galway and Kerry.
In February of this year, Farrelly becoame the first woman to referee in the men's Allianz Football League when she took charge of the Leitrim-London Division 4 encounter.
Donegal’s Siobhán Coyle, who took charge of the 2020 All-Ireland junior final between Fermanagh and Wicklow, will referee the forthcoming All-Ireland intermediate final between Laois and Wexford.
The Antrim-Fermanagh junior final will be refereed by Kevin Corcoran, representing the Islandeady club in County Mayo.
