M4 closed in both directions as crash sees overturned vehicle cause misery for drivers

There are several delays on the M4 as wet weather causes problems for drivers this morning. One lane of the M4 eastbound is currently closed due to an overturned vehicle near Bridgend and a broken down vehicle on the M4 Prince of Wales bridge eastbound is also causing delays

Traffic monitoring system Inrix is warning of queuing traffic from Junction 36 A4061 (Bridgend / Sarn Service Area) to Junction 35 A473 (Pencoed).

There are also delays on the Prince of Wales bridge from Junction 23 M48 to Junction 22 M49 due to flooding and an earlier broken down vehicle.

South Wales Police said: "We're at the scene of a collision on the M4, Bridgend. Lane 3 is closed in both directions between Junction 36 for Sarn and Junction 35 for Pencoed.

"Please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. We're grateful for your patience."
