Lyndon Arthur sends clear message ahead of Walter Sequeira fight after Ricky Hatton praise

Lyndon Arthur takes on Walter Gabriel Sequeira at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday night in the hopes that he will be able to bounce back from last year's split decision rematch defeat to Anthony Yarde, having beaten his fellow Brit a year earlier for the Commonwealth Light-Heavyweight belt.

Arthur, 31, fights the 35-year-old Argentine nearly a year after suffering the first defeat of his career in an event which takes place at the home of Bolton Wanderers FC in Greater Manchester. The card will be broadcast live on Channel Five, with the action getting underway from 9:30pm.

The fight takes place on the Wasserman promotions card and will be the first time that Arthur has been the main event in such a venue, a challenge he is excited for. He told the Manchester Evening News : " Of course I'm buzzing for it. Not only do I get to perform in front of my own people, but we're live on Channel 5 from 9:30pm and the whole nation gets see that 'King' Arthur is back.

"I'm ready, I've constantly been working so nothing has changed. I've got the confidence and skill to go all the way, but we've been refining the skillset and sharpening the mindset. You'll be witnessing a vicious animal with laser focus."

His opponent has a long and storied career, mostly having played out in his native Argentina, but a fight against Yarde in 2018 will make him a recognisable name to UK boxing fans. He lost on that occasion by TKO, but with a strong reputation for knockouts Arthur is expecting a tough fight.
