Lulu announces return to Million pound ball 2024 fundraiser

Pop icon Lulu has announced she will come out of retirement to support an inspirational Manchester fundraiser at his annual ball. The Shout superstar is coming to the end of her farewell tour this week after announcing her impending retirement from touring.

But the global megastar will return to Manchester in November to perform at the Michael Josephson MBE Ball. Last year the ball raised over a MILLION pounds in one night, in emotional scenes at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate.

Michael has made it his life's work to raise millions for children's charities after facing abuse in his own childhood. Now he has announced the first details of the 2024 event, which will return to the Hilton Hotel on November 16.

Lulu, 75, performed at the first Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball back in 2018, and has confirmed she will take centre stage for the 2024 event. It comes after she also confirmed this week she will appear at the Glastonbury Festival in the summer.

She hit the headlines on her most recent appearance in Manchester - when Take That joined her on stage at the Bridgewater Hall last week.

Lulu said: "I'm delighted to reveal that I will be the headline performer at the Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball 2024. Last year, the annual event broke records by becoming the first million pound plus fundraiser in the North West. I've worked with Michael before and can't wait to return - it's wonderful to support such important causes.”
