Luke Littler makes Man United request involving Cristiano Ronaldo after SPOTY miss
Darts prodigy Luke Littler has opened up about his dream to meet Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
The young darts star, an avid United supporter, is eager for an opportunity to meet the Portuguese footballer. Despite finishing as runner-up in the Sports Personality of the Year award, narrowly missing out to Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson, Littler did not go home empty-handed, securing the Young Sports Personality of the Year accolade.
Although he rubbed shoulders with some of the UK's sporting elite at the awards ceremony, the Premier League Darts and Grand Slam winner still harbours a desire to meet Ronaldo. "There's only one person who I would like to meet and that's Cristiano Ronaldo," Littler shared with 90min.

The idea of a collaboration between Littler and Ronaldo has created excitement, especially now that Ronaldo has launched his own YouTube channel, which could potentially help make Littler's wish come true.
In addition, Littler expressed his gratitude to his supporters following the SPOTY awards, posting on X: "First SPOTY and taking home two trophies. Huge honour for me to win Young Sports Personality of the Year and finish second for Sports Personality. Support this year has been amazing and want to say thank you to everyone who voted and sent messages."
Littler's meteoric rise is nothing short of phenomenal, considering he was relatively unknown this time last year. His breakthrough performance at last year's World Darts Championship, at just 16-years-old, catapulted him into the limelight.
