Luke Littler darts fans can now play at home with 'ground-breaking' new online tech

While darts has traditionally been a pub staple, technological advancements have seen players taking their passion for the game online, battling it out from the comfort of their own homes. The rise in popularity of online darts has led to fans utilising various apps to compete with opponents worldwide.

Among the most popular apps is DartCounter, which offers features such as playing against 'Dartbot' a programmable robot opponent competing with a friend at home or challenging others across the globe via the internet. However, a common issue arises when many players use low-quality cameras, making it hard to verify if the opponent isn't breaking the rules since typically, the camera only captures the board and fails to confirm if a player is positioned at the regulation distance.

Nevertheless, Target, renowned for endorsing top dart personalities including young sensation Luke Littler, Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall and darts legend Phil 'The Power' Taylor, has developed what they're dubbing a 'groundbreaking' new product aimed at revolutionising home games: the Virt Camera.
