The first 90 minutes of Real Madrid vs Chelsea was absolutely electric.

Chelsea travelled to the Santiago Bernabeu 3-1 down from the first leg and with an incredible amount of work to do to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were woeful at Stamford Bridge last week, but they were a completely different team in Madrid on Tuesday.

Chelsea took a 1-0 lead in the first half through a superb first-time finish by Mason Mount and they doubled their advantage just after the restart courtesy of Antonio Rudiger’s header from a corner.

The Blues thought they’d moved ahead in the tie on 62 minutes when Marcos Alonso smashed the ball past Thibaut Courtois, however, VAR controversially ruled out the strike for a ‘handball’ by the Spanish left-back.
