Luka Modric: Real Madrid star's leadership shown in video after Barcelona win
Luka Modric was influential as Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in the first Clasico of the season on Sunday afternoon.
The Croatian is now 37 years old but remains a key part of Real’s side.
Modric started the game and played 77 minutes as Los Blancos won 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Karim Benzema and Federico Valverde gave Real a two-goal lead, only for Ferran Torres to give the Catalan giants hope in the 83rd minute.
But Rodrygo's penalty in the 91st minute put the score beyond all doubt.
It was a massive win for Real, who opened up a three-point lead over their fierce rivals at the top of the table with the victory.
Real Madrid posted a number of videos of their players and staff celebrating in the dressing room after the match.
One video focused on Modric going over to and individually congratulating every individual in the dressing room, both players and staff.
