Luis Suarez went full savage in his interview after handball vs Ghana at 2010 World Cup

Luis Suarez has been at the centre of many controversies throughout his playing career.

Two have come at World Cups, including his bite on Giorgio Chiellini in 2014 that saw the striker banned from all football-related activities for four months.

Four years before that shocking incident, Suarez secured his status as a pantomime villain to help Uruguay progress to the semi-finals in South Africa.

In a tense quarter-final match against Ghana, the former Liverpool and Barcelona forward prevented the African nation from scoring a winner in the final minute of extra-time with a handball.

Suarez essentially produced a save on the line worthy of a goalkeeper and he was shown a straight red card as a result.

Ghana were also awarded a penalty, but Asamoah Gyan’s attempt from 12 yards crashed into the crossbar, which resulted in Suarez going mental on the touchline and sent the game to a shootout.
