Luis Suarez set to be DROPPED for Atletico Madrid’s clash against Manchester United

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is set to be dropped for Atletico Madrid’s clash against Manchester United as Diego Simeone plans on playing a back five against the Red Devils.

The Uruguay international has scored 11 goals in 33 matches in all competitions this season and he was desperate to face United, given his long history with the club.

However, like United, Atletico are having a season to forget and reports in Spain say Simeone has opted to play five at the back with Angel Correa and Joao Felix up front together.

That will be a hammer blow to Suarez, who has led the line for most of the season.

Koke is a doubt for the La Liga champions, who are currently in fifth in the table.

Antoine Griezmann and Thomas Lemar also look set to miss out, with the former suffering a thigh injury and the latter suffering from Covid-19.

United are waiting on the availability of Edinson Cavani but other than that they have a clean bill of health.

Nemanja Matic is once again available after missing the last three matches and Ralf Rangnick is likely to reinstate Fred to the starting line-up after he started on the bench in the 4-2 win against Leeds.
