Lucy May Sleeman progresses at World U-20 Championships

Lucy May Sleeman has made it to the semi-finals of the 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Athletics Championships in Colombia.

The Leevale AC athlete ran a time of 11.71 in her heat, which eventually saw her progress as one of the fastest non-automatic qualifiers.

She's due back on track at 10:05 in the next round tomorrow night.

Elsewhere, there was disappointment for Lucy McGlynn, who missed out on progress in the 400m hurdles by one-hundredth of a second.

The Tyrone woman ran a time of 1:00.30.
