Lucy Letby accused of murdering babies 'found' with note saying: 'I AM EVIL I DID THIS', court hears

A neonatal nurse accused of murdering babies was found by police with a post-it note stating: “I AM EVIL I DID THIS”, a trial has heard.

Lucy Letby, 32, is charged with murdering seven babies and faces 15 attempted murder charges involving ten more children. The offences allegedly occurred whilst she was working as a neonatal nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016. She denies all charges.

On day four of the trial being heard at Manchester Crown Court, prosecutor Nick Johnson KC concluded his opening address. He told jurors that Ms Letby was moved from the neonatal unit to a clerical role which saw she had no further contact with children in June 2016.
