Love Island 2023: Who is André Furtado? Job, age and Instagram

Love Island returns this summer with a new batch of singletons looking for love in the famous villa. The ITV dating series will be on screens from June 5.

Among this year's participants is 21-year-old André Furtado, a business owner from Dudley. Speaking about why he decided to join the show before entering the villa, André said: "I’ve finished uni now, I’m done with situationships and I have a better mindset towards relationships. There are so many things aligning for me, a good woman to add to that will be the icing on the cake."

André can speak four languages and he hopes he can teach his villa chums a few phrases while he's there. "I’m charming, I’m going to bring good looks and some language lessons," he said. "I’m going to teach the other Islanders Portuguese, Spanish and a little bit of Creole. I think I’ve got every slice of the pie."

The businessman has a "strict morning routine" which involves and early start. "I’m always singing, I get up between 6 and 7am full of energy," he said.

When asked why he's still single, Andre admits it's down to "commitment issues" - but he says his friends and family would describe him as "very gentle, very respectful, good manners, confident and I’m someone that knows how to read the room".

The three most important things Andre is looking for in a partner are "ambition, good manners and a pretty face that I can’t stop looking at!"

André has an Instagram account (@dre.furtado) and in the week ahead of Love Island he had 7,000 followers. He recently posted photos of his 21st birthday celebrations and his bio has been updated to say: "I'm off to find the @loveisland villa!"
