Lost Ark Bots: Developers confirm they are working to stop them

Lost Ark was introduced to western audiences in 2022, but there has been a major issue with bots appearing in the game.

Many fans have noted the issues with the bots in the MMO title, and the developers and publishers have been trying to address them.

Whilst a huge amount of accounts have already been banned from the game, there have still been issues regarding illegitimate accounts appearing.

Here’s everything you need to know with regards to bots in Lost Ark and how Smilegate RPG has reacted to the issue in March 2022.

As noted, bots have been a major issue in Lost Ark for quite some time, with major banning waves taking place ever since the western release of the game.

In an update on Friday March 4th 2022, Amazon Games confirmed that they had removed over a million illegitimate accounts in the game. 

They noted: “Following launch, botting has been a growing issue for Lost Ark. Our team has been hard at work on crafting effective tools and methods to identify and remove bots from the game. 

“As the result of this work, today (3/4) we will be permanently removing over a million illegitimate accounts from the game that have been determined to be running bots.”

In a further update to the issue, Smilegate RPG confirmed the following on the Lost Ark forum on Wednesday 16th March 2022 with regards to the issues surrounding bots in the game and how they’ve approached the issues.

They noted: “Bots have been a problem for us since launch. Even though we banned them as quickly as we could, they kept springing up.
