'Losing patience' - Newcastle supporters frustrated with midfield omission in line-up vs West Ham

Newcastle fans have been left frustrated by Eddie Howe's decision to leave January signing Bruno Guimaraes out of the starting line-up that takes on West Ham at 12.30pm.

The 24-year-old Brazilian, who arrived from Lyon for around £40million, has made just two cameo appearances in the wins over Everton and Aston Villa.

The Toon Army has now become restless upon the news that he has been left out of the starting XI once again.

Some supporters took to social media to air their displeasure:

I'm losing patience man, where's Bruno??

Bottled that... needed Bruno to start.

40 million pound for Bruno. Can’t get a game.

Ridiculous! Perfect chance to re-shuffle and start BG39. Love to hear Eddie's reasoning behind this. I respectfully disagree with anyone saying Bruno needs time etc! He’s a £40m Brazilian international, he needs more than 4-5 mins at the end of a game to gain EPL experience.

Feel there was a way to get Bruno in that side and he hasn't again.

Not gonna lie was really hoping for a Bruno start.

Should have pushed Willock out right, Fraser on the left and Bruno in the mid.

: FREE BRUNO.

Newcastle are without Allan Saint-Maximin, who is thought to be out for up to three weeks with injury.

Kieran Tripper has also been sidelined with a long-term setback after breaking a bone in his foot while Jamal Lascelles has been dropped to the bench.

Martin Dubravka retains his place in goal with Emil Krafth coming in for Trippier.

Matt Targets returns at left-back as Fabian Schar and Dan Burn make up the central defence.

Jonjo Shelvey, Joe Willock and Joelinton are given the nod in midfield again while Jacob Murphy fills the void left by Saint-Maximin on the wing.

Chris Wood is named striker with Ryan Fraser
