Lorraine Kelly forced to apologise by show bosses after declaring 'I thought that was allowed'

Lorraine Kelly was forced to apologise to viewers following a live blunder on Tuesday's show (September 12). The 63-year-old TV presenter, who hosts her self-titled show on ITV, was left saying 'I thought that was allowed' after being told off by show bosses.

The Scottish presenter, whose breakfast programme airs weekdays at 9am, was interviewing actor Damian Lewis about his return to the TV show Billions. Damian, who left the drama series at the end of season five, will return as fan-favorite Bobby 'Axe' Axelrod for six of the final season's 12 episodes.

Speaking to Lorraine, Damian divulged about his character's traits after the TV host said: “He’s horrible! Isn’t he horrible? You’re so good at doing a horrible person," to which he responded: “It’s a show about a****les, being a****les.”

Halting the interview, Lorraine told viewers: "This is hilarious, I’ve just been told that we have to apologise for you saying a-hole and I said it as well," as she quipped: "“I apologise, I thought that was allowed.”

Damian then added: “Oh really? I apologise, I apologise," as Lorraine joked: “Everybody watching all
