Longridge Town vs Bolton Wanderers LIVE: Build-up, team news, match updates & reaction

Football is officially back and Bolton Wanderers begin their pre-season friendly fixture list this evening against Longridge Town.

Ian Evatt's Whites begin a busy fixture list ahead of the 2022/23 campaign with a trip to take on the non-league side. The visit to the Recycling Lives Ground is a repeat of how Wanderers began their preparations for the previous campaign.

It will be a busy few weeks for Wanderers before the start of the new League One campaign on July 30. Bolton start the season on the road against Ipswich Town.

After this evening's clash, the first pre-season Saturday fixture will be against Chorley on July 2, before a midweek behind closed doors clash against Stockport County. The clash versus the Hatters will not take place at either club's stadium owing to pitch renovation work at both Edgeley Park and the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers will take on Championship side Watford behind closed doors on Tuesday, July 12, at the Hornets' London Conlney training ground. A clash against Atherton Collieries follows a day after the Hornets game.

Wanderers travel to Brunton Park to take on League Two Carlisle United on Saturday, July 16. A midweek game on the road versus Bamber Bridge follows, before the only home game of the pre-season fixture schedule on Saturday, July 23, versus Huddersfield.

Wanderers take on Southport in the midweek before the League One season begins on Saturday, July 30. The club's new 'B' team take on Warrington Town on the evening of Tuesday, August 2.

But all focus this evening will be on the clash against Longridge. A couple of debuts could be on the cards too, with defender Jack Iredale and Liverpool loanee Conor Bradley in line for their first appearances.
