Long M4 delays after crash and M48 Severn Bridge closure - live updates

Two accidents on major roads in south Wales are causing long delays on Friday afternoon. An accident has blocked the M48 Severn Bridge eastbound.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix says that all lanes were stopped in both direction around 2.30pm. Cameras are showing that westbound has reopened, while eastbound is blocked. Diversions are via the Prince of Wales Bridge.

There has also been an accident on the M4 between Cardiff and Newport. One lane is closed eastbound after the collision at junction 29 A48M. Travel time is around 25 minutes in this area.
