London to host WWE 'Money in the Bank' event

London will host one of the top events on the WWE roster -- 'Money in the Bank -- in July this year. Famous for its ladder match, the 'Money in the Bank' winner earns a crack at the WWE championship at a time of his choice in the following year. "The O2 is one of the world's premier venues and the perfect home for 'Money In The Bank'. We are excited to bring one of our 'Big 5' events to the UK and look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe to London on July 1," Dan Ventrelle, EVP, Talent, at WWE, was quoted as saying by ESPN."We are honoured to be hosting the first ever 'Money In The Bank' event taking place in the UK here at The O2," Christian D'Acuña, Senior Programming Director at The O2, said in a report on espn.in.

In an earlier announcement, WWE confirmed that it will head to the UK by April-end this year.
