LOI pay tribute after death of former Dundalk and Waterford player Karolis Chvedukas
The League of Ireland have paid tribute to former Dundalk and Waterford player Karolis Chvedukas who has died at the age of 32.
Chvedukas, who played 20 times for Lithuania, was signed by then Lilywhite boss Stephen Kenny in January 2018 before Alan Reynolds brought him to Waterford 13 months later.
He had been playing with Lithuanian side and home town club Marijampolė City last season.
"Everyone at the League of Ireland sends on our deep sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Karolis Chvedukas after his tragic passing. Karolis played for Dundalk and Waterford during his time in the League of Ireland and will be missed by all."
"We were shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Karolis Chvedukas this afternoon," Dundalk added.
