Liverpool youngster who nutmegged Fabinho leaves Virgil van Dijk in awe of "scary" talent

Liverpool fans are getting very excited about youngster Mateusz Musialowski... and so is his team-mate Virgil van Dijk.

The Polish winger, 18, is one of the Premier League club's brightest talents and will be hoping to get his first-team debut in the near future.

Musialowski joined the Reds from Polish outfit SMS Lodz in August 2020 after a stellar youth career, scoring 133 goals in just 88 games.

The U17 international has been described as "the Polish Messi" due to his remarkable attributes and has also been compared to Real Madrid ace Eden Hazard.

Musialowski has continued to impress since joining Liverpool and recently appeared alongside Van Dijk and Andy Robertson in a video that's gone viral.

The teenager showed off his eye-catching skills in the clip - uploaded to t he F2 Freestyles YouTube channel - leaving the Netherlands skipper speechless.

"Can we talk about his crossing?" asked Van Dijk. "His crossing is magnificent! The consistency is scary."

Robertson also praised Musialowski's dribbling ability and Reds fans watching will surely be keen to see him in action soon.

The talent's only professional appearances to date came in the EFL Trophy against Rochdale and Port Vale, starting both games earlier this season.

He's impressed in both of Liverpool's FA Youth Cup outings this term, scoring a hat-trick against Fleetwood in December and a brace against Burnley earlier this month.

And Musialowski has already caught Jurgen Klopp's attention, with the manager allegedly telling him "well done" after nutmegging Fabinho in training.

"When I see the space, I just go for it," explained the talent last July. "I have seen a lot of Lionel Messi goals like that, so I try to be like him and I want to repeat it."
