Liverpool XI vs Watford: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League game
Trent Alexander-Arnold is the big injury worry for Liverpool ahead of their lunchtime kick-off against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed the right-back suffered the problem ahead of last month’s FA Cup tie at Nottingham Forest, ruling him out of England duty.
It was initially said Alexander-Arnold will be out “for weeks”, putting his participation in the upcoming Champions League clash with Benfica and the title showdown with Manchester City also in doubt.
In his place, Joe Gomez deputised at the City Ground and the defender should continue at Anfield against Watford.
James Milner is expected to be fit to face the Hornets after illness kept him out of action for a spell last month, while Naby Keita is a doubt due to a knee injury.
Klopp will update fans on his squad’s injury status later today, including on his stars returning from international action.
Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
