Liverpool vs Watford prediction and odds: Diogo Jota tipped to score and add pressure to title fight

Liverpool enter the business end of the season with the elusive quadruple still a possibility as they welcome a Watford side desperate to get out of the relegation zone. Jurgen Klopp's side sit just one point behind league leaders Manchester City and could overtake them for a few hours at least.

The Reds will be looking for their 21st league win against the Hertfordshire club and are the favourites at 1/9 with Betfred while Watford are 20/1 and a draw is 8/1. Seven of Liverpool's home matches this season in the Premier League have featured at least four goals and they should be fully focused to boost their goal difference against the struggling Hornets.

Klopp will want a quick transition following the international break and will want to address Mo Salah and Sadio Mane particularly after they played 120 minutes against each other in a World Cup qualifier play-off during the international break. The German will be pleased to see Trent Alexander-Arnold training and in contention to play this weekend but will have to deal with the blow of Naby Keita on the sidelines.

For Roy Hodgson, he will be looking to get one up on his former employers but has the difficult task of job of securing his third win for Watford as they go one step closer of avoiding the drop. They sit three points behind 17th-placed Everton but the inferior goal difference means Watford will need to pick up more results elsewhere if they have a chance of staying up.
