Liverpool transfer priorities in final week of January including Mohamed Salah solution

Liverpool still have a chance of winning all four pieces of silverware this season and manager Jurgen Klopp will be keen on having the strongest possible squad for the run in.

The Reds, however, are yet to complete any major deals in January, with only two youth players - Morgan Boyes and Tony Gallacher - leaving the club.

The six-time Champions League winners still have plenty of work to do, although it's unlikely they will bring any new players to Anfield before the deadline on January 31.

Nevertheless, Liverpool still need to sell a few stars and get one of their biggest players to commit their long-term future to the club.

Here, takes a look at Klopp's transfer priorities between now and the end of the window.

Klopp is keen to complete the sale of Phillips, who wants to play regularly after his heroics last season - helping Liverpool qualify for the Champions League.

The centre-back, 24, has only made 47 professional appearances - three of which have come this season - and Klopp has accepted his desire to flourish elsewhere.

"The manager and I agree that the best thing for me is to play as many games as possible," Phillips recently told Sky Sports News.

"I think you saw last year I developed well. I'm going to see what comes along [in January] and go from there.

"I think at this moment in time it's unlikely that I'll be playing lots of games for Liverpool, so if an opportunity arises where I get the chance to do that somewhere else.

"And if it suits everyone then it's certainly something I'd be interested in.

"I've had the exposure and experience in the Premier League and the Champions League. So maybe those situations where you're new and nervy, I've gone through that phase.
