Liverpool ticket update sees Nottingham Forest sent City Ground demand

Some Nottingham Forest supporters are suggesting that the club needs a bigger ground after general admission tickets for the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool sold out on Tuesday.

The Reds' announced at 7.25am that the match was now a sell-out and confirmed that a capacity crowd will be at the City Ground on Sunday evening for the visit of Liverpool before thanking fans for their "magnificent support".

Yesterday (Monday) saw home members able to purchase single tickets, and was the deadline for season card holders to secure their seats.

Here is a selection of the social media reaction to the ticketing update ahead of the FA Cup tie...

Put screens up outside or in Old Market Square with fan zones like the World Cup.

City ground will be rocking.

Youuuuu Redsssssss.

I guess home membership sales will go through the roof for next season.

So many fans left disappointed they couldn’t get a ticket for the LFC game. Including me and my lad. No fault of the club’s, though. We just need a bigger ground!

Why can you not just add another 5,000 seats so all those fans that have come out the woodwork can go? It's easy to do...

Sold out several times this season, and I've not seen this level of complaining before!

Can you scrap online bookings for future big games, please, so we can all go down to queue at the City Ground for hours and hours like in the old days?

Was the case of supply and demand. Was only about six left when I got into the site. Could do with doing up our stadium now.

No ticket, so off to the pub to watch not missing this either way, for those there shout loud and proud for me.
