Liverpool star Andy Robertson agrees with Bernardo Silva about Man City's title chances

The mind games in the title race are firmly under way after Liverpool won their game in hand to move to within a point of leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool's win at Arsenal took was their ninth successive league victory, and they are the form side going into the final nine games of the season. City have the point advantage, however, following their draw at Crystal Palace on Monday, and after that Bernardo Silva insisted the Blues were still in the better position.

After the Palace stalemate, Bernardo said: "Still a long way to go, nine games to go. We're still in a good position. It's still better to be in our position than Liverpool and they still have to play in our stadium. It's going to be exciting."

And after Liverpool recorded their three points at Arsenal, Reds defender Andy Robertson agreed with Bernardo that City remain in the better position.

"It was a game in hand. I don't like games in hand too much, I'd much rather have points on the board," he told Sky Sports. "Now we're level on games, but I'd still rather be in Man City's position.

"They have a point advantage and we still need to go to their place. A couple of players said that after their game, and I agree with that.

"They are a point better off and are one of the best teams in the world. It is a sprint to the finish line and we are in the race. A lot of people maybe didn't think we were going to be around January time, but we're definitely in the race. We just need to focus on what we're doing."

Robertson was then asked if this victory felt 'especially big' in light of City's draw at Palace, to which the Scot agreed again. "For sure. Now we are depending on us," he added.
