Liverpool 's highly anticipated home clash against Manchester United will have to be rearranged as fixtures continue to pile-up for Jurgen Klopp 's side.
United will be seeking revenge after Liverpool thrashed them 5-0 at Old Trafford, which was their worst ever defeat at home to their bitter rivals.
The reverse fixture at Anfield was scheduled to take place on Sunday 20 March, but Liverpool's progression in the FA Cup means that they will now be playing their quarter-final tie that weekend.
Meaning that United will have to wait to face the Reds, and Liverpool will have yet another game in hand on Premier League leaders Manchester City.
It's to Liverpool's credit that the match has to be postponed, as they remain in every competition after already winning the first domestic trophy of the season on Sunday in a tense final with Chelsea.
Liverpool eased past Norwich despite a nervy ending in the fifth round of the FA Cup to book their place in the quarter-finals, whereas United's run ended in the previous round after losing to Middlesbrough on penalties.
However, due to a very limited number of free midweeks in Liverpool's calendar, the clash with United may have to take place on either Tuesday 19 April or Wednesday 20 April, providing they hold off Inter Milan at home in the Champions League.
