Liverpool's 'mentality is phenomenal', hails Chris Sutton
The plaudits for Liverpool continue to roll in as their quadruple quest continues, with Chris Sutton hailing their resilience.
The Reds remain on course to win four trophies this season after reaching the reaching Champions League final on Tuesday night - beating Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate.
However, that possibility looked in doubt after they squandered a two-nil aggregate lead to be pegged back at 2-2 after the Spanish side fought back in the first half of the second leg.
But Liverpool demonstrated their quality and composure by regrouping at half-time to score three goals in the second half and put the result beyond doubt.
And speaking about that 45-minute display, Sportsmail columnist Sutton hailed their mindset led by the manager Jurgen Klopp.
'It’s an enormous achievement. Their mentality is phenomenal,' he said during his co-commentary on BBC 5 Live.
