Liverpool labelled ‘selling club’ as club plan ‘to go all out’ for Salah

Spanish media have labelled Liverpool a ‘selling club’ as Barcelona are reportedly planning to go ‘all out’ to sign their attacker Mohamed Salah.

It was reported earlier this week that Salah would be open to joining Barcelona this summer.

The forward is out of contract in 2023. Talks between the player and Liverpool have stalled as he has demanded a big pay increase.

Salah has been in sensational form for Liverpool this season. He looks to be the favourite to win the league’s Player of the Year award.

The 29-year-old has grabbed 20 goals and ten assists from his 27 appearances in the Premier League this term.

Spanish outlet AS (via Sport Witness) are reporting that Barcelona are targeting Salah as an alternative to Erling Haaland.

If the in-demand striker signs for another club, the Spanish giants will ‘go all out’ to bring Salah in.

A separate report from Sport has weighed up the positives and negatives of Barcelona buying Salah.

During their analysis, Liverpool are labelled a ‘selling club’ as Sport use the sale of Philippe Coutinho as an example.

Elsewhere, Louis van Gaal insists he “decides the tactics” after Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk questioned the Netherlands manager’s tactics.

The national side looked shaky playing a 3-4-1-2 system in their 4-2 in over Denmark on Saturday, leading Van Dijk to declare he prefers a 4-3-3 like he plays in under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
