Liverpool fans are calling out Pep Guardiola for his reaction to Mo Salah winning FWA award
Mohamed Salah’s incredible 2021/22 season has been recognised as he was named the Football Writers’ Association Men’s Footballer of the Year.
Salah has been tremendous for Liverpool in the Premier League this season.
He’s well ahead in the race for the Golden Boot having scored 22 goals, while he’s also added 14 assists.
Salah beat many Manchester City players to the award, including Kevin De Bruyne.
Pep Guardiola was asked about his thoughts on Salah winning the award in his press conference on Friday afternoon.
And he didn’t appear to be overly ecstatic about the news.
Guardiola congratulated Salah before saying it is normal that a Liverpool player won the award, because Jurgen Klopp thinks they have the world’s best player at every position.
