LIVE: Wythenshawe bus station closed by police after early hours attack - updates
Wythenshawe bus station in south Manchester was closed this morning after an attack in the early hours. Bus serves have been hit although Metrolink services are unaffacted.
Witnesses have described how an area of the bus station has been closed off while police are at the scene. Pictures show a large cordon in place with a police vehicle stationed out the front.
The Manchester Evening News understands police were called following reports of an assault at 4.25am today.
Police and paramedics were called and one man is believed to have suffered injuries to his face and head. An investigation is underway and one man has been arrested.

Stagecoach Manchester wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Wythenshawe Bus Station is currently CLOSED due to a police incident. All services are using the bus stops outside the bus station at the Forum. Sorry if this is affecting your journey with us today."
The Bee Network also issued an update on X, posting: "Due to a Police incident, Wythenshawe Interchange is closed. Bus services: 11, 18, 19, 43, 101, 103, 130 and 368 will depart from the Forum until further notice. Trams are not affected."
