Live updates as man airlifted to hospital after crash on A484 between Swansea and Llanelli

A man has been airlifted to hospital after an accident on the A484 between Swansea and Llanelli. The road is now closed in both directions.

An accident between Loughor bridge and Gowerton roundabout bypass, parallel to Parc Williams in Loughor, has been reported. Witnesses said an air ambulance landed and airlifted a man to hospital. The A484 is currently closed in both directions and there is heavy traffic. Travel monitoring system Inrix reports the accident is involving a motorbike. The road block is currently in place between B4297 (Yspitty roundabout) and A4240 (Loughor Roundabout).
